9th-Jan-2010 09:12 am - Welcome to a new Decade
Zev-va
So time for reflection on 2009 and some thoughts on our brand new year...

Work:
Launched S*A*T*R - specifically in London and Vegas. After years of research and development (we submitted the patent application back in December 2006!) we now have a fantastic combat entertainment product which is spreading like wildfire.

Got to work with some terrific people across the planet - it never ceases to amaze me the enthusiasm and sheer verve loads of people have for creating combat entertainment experiences for people.

Passed the 1,000 fan mark on Facebook!

Won the Business Woman of the Year (Innovation) wow - what an honor! http://www.battlefieldsports.com/BusinessInnovationAward_mediarelease0909.htm

Personal:
The kids are growing up; my eldest starts high school in a few weeks. Yikes! If feels like just yesterday she was a baby!

Said goodbye to SJB before time.

And to Peter's ultimate shock, won the Christmas Handicap at our club's Table Tennis competition. ;-)

The Future:
Well welcome to 2010! This year I believe will be huge, with more and more people discovering S*A*T*R and lots more exciting R&D breakthroughs coming down the pike. And not to mention the joys of raising a teenage daughter! Wish me luck!

Battlefield Sports Exhibits at IAAPA Attractions Expo 2009

Last month my team and I showed off our latest technology to interested people from all over the world at the year's pinnacle event - IAAPA Expo. We had a blast meeting new and existing owner/operators.

We offered a great SHOW SPECIAL that we are now extending for a limited time. So call us to find out more.

People from bowling alleys to go cart tracks, from family entertainment to LAN centers, even from Casinos were interested in Battlefield Sports.

Yep just arrived back from Melbourne. Well, didn't win but it was a terrific experience. My hat goes off to the lady that got the gong, not only does she have 6 teenagers, but she also is a fantastic scientist.
I'm back in Brissy for 12 hours then Canditta & I are off again to fly to LA and then onto Vegas for the IAAPA trade show. (If you are in the area, why not pop by? we are in booth #6013)

26th-Oct-2009 01:45 pm - Ben & Alicia's 10th Party
peterandme
This weekend just got we had a fun birthday party, a join 10th birthday for Ben & Alicia. Canditta made a Commando Cake!
Wow.
It was impressive.
A 1 to 1 ratio of the commando carbine gaming gun!. Complete with silver cashews detail for the pot rivets and key hole. And a cool antenna made out of a "milky-way." Though she reckons it would have been better to make that out of licorice. We had 30 kids & parents, but I think the cake could have fed 100. But our group make a noble effort, with lots of people coming back for seconds.
:-)
Check the photos!

Partly done.

Completed cake.

23rd-Oct-2009 10:38 am - What a Week!

see http://www.qbr.com.au/news/articleid/59257.aspx

Tuesday night, cocktails with the Governor at her residence (never been there before, very nice, very posh) to celebrate Export Week.

Then Wednesday Battlefield Sports was announced as one of the best Arts & Entertainment Exporters in the State.

What a whirl-wind.
14th-Oct-2009 11:36 am - Business Women's Breakfast
keynote
The day got started early today. Canditta & I went to the Sofitel Hotel for a business breakfast. It was the "power panel" a hypothetical type format, hosted by Lexi Hamilton-Smith (who, of course, did a fantastic job as MC). Elena Gosse, Jano Dawes and myself were on the panel. see http://www.qbr.com.au/
